    Portrait of Dr Bell.

This had been hung in the library for many years but safety concerns resulted in it being put into storage. Some damage resulted and in 2023 it was professionally restored.

William Oughter Lonie

  1857 William Oughter Lonie was Head Master of Mathematics at Madras College from 1846.
